Well what a disaster, i'm staring at a guaranteed profit of £30.00 whatever the outcome after some clever (or lucky) trading on the cricket, and the match ends in a tie.
After speaking to a Betfair customer service agent (are they all Australian?) they tell me that all bets are void.
What a joke!
The guy on the phone played the sympathy card for Betfair saying that they will make no money/commission on the match either and that I should have read the rules before trading on that market.
Well personally I think they should offer the draw as an option to back and lay which would avoid this ridiculous situation.
I'm only a small player so am not that upset, but there will be some big traders who have been stung by this big time tonight.(and some people who will have got out of jail)
All in all a bad night for Betfair, who have let down their punters and scored a PR og in the early stages of the cricket world cup
