His Virgin Media brand have recently taken over my cable operator NTL and lost out to Sky in a piece of negotiating brinkmanship. The outcome is that they have managed to lose some key channels like Sky One and Sky Sports News from their programming.
Whatever the rights or wrongs of the dispute I was a bit taken aback by the hypocrisy of their holding message that appears on the channels that they refused to pay for..
Thanks to Sky, some of your basic channesl, like Sky One and Sky News are no longer available.
We believe that Sky want to limit our choice, that's why they're removing their channels from Freeview,too.
At a time when Sky are taking content away.....
Virgin Media is:
- Standing up for consumers
- Making sure you get a better deal
- And giving you more
What a load of old pony that is - I'm paying the same amount for less channels, how can they say that is giving me more?

Plenty of pissed off subscribers asking for a cost reduction.
